Real handmade gates

From our workshop on the beautiful north Norfolk coast, Unique Metal Gates fabricate every gate to order.

Made entirely of steel. We do not use composite or plastic powder coating and we don’t do off the shelf. Each design is unique, conceived and created by us. All of our gates are practical too with a lifespan of at least 20 years and no maintenance beyond the occasional drop of oil on moving parts.

Whether a small pedestrian gate or a pair of large driveway gates, everything we create has the weight and quality you can feel. We don’t laser cut from a single sheet but instead overlay and overlap steel to provide the depth only achievable by the human hand.

Transparent pricing

No hidden extras. Our prices include heavy duty hinges, latch and latch catcher and most notably both posts for ground or wall fixing.

Our gates are bespoke items so we will always produce a detailed quote for your approval prior to taking payment and starting production. You will typically receive this within two hours (during working times).

Simple installation

We do as much of the work as possible to make installation as simple as possible and it really is.

Your gate will even arrive with the hinges and latch attached. So whether you are ordering a pair of driveway gates spanning six metres or a narrow garden gate we can assure you installation will be straight forward. We also have our installation guides available online for you to read.
